It is important to study the word of God and be taught by those who have thoroughly studied the word of God also.

1 Thessalonians 5:16 instructs us to pray without ceasing. Praying centers us, leads us out of our flesh and into the spiritual realm, and deepens our relationship with God. It is direct communication with the Father. Prayer has the ability to calm us, to comfort us, and to bring us from the will of our flesh and into the will of God, where He desires us to be.

Water baptism is an outside reflection of what has happened in the spirit of the believer. Salvation is based on our belief in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Water immersion in the baptismal process is indicative of the believer dying to their old ways and coming forth in the newness of life.

Marriage is important to God. It is so important that He uses marriage as a symbol for His relationship with the church. Jesus is the bridegroom and we are the bride. He pursued us, and He promises to love, protect, and provide for us. God created marriage for illustration, sanctification, and procreation. Earthly marriage is symbolic of our relationship with God, through which the intimacy between husband and wife is made honorable, and a reflection of that love and respect is passed down to the children of that union. God has given us a perfect example.

Raising children is an honorable responsibility. Parents have been given the opportunity to teach children the ways of God and leading them in he example of placing God first in their lives. The bible instructs us to "train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from the ways of God." It is important to God that children learn of His ways and of His goodness. It is an awesome responsibility that has been given us.

"It is more blessed to give than to receive." Giving teaches us things that receiving never will. Sacrifice, selflessness, and compassion are all a part of being a fruitful giver. The bible tells us that when we "give unto those in need, we give unto the Lord." He will not forget the service we give unto others.
